The Friday Kennel Tech

Today is a wonderful day! After working two jobs in the morning, I still have the energy to work. Thankfully, I had a good 8-hr sleep last night. When I walked into Riverwoods Pet Hospital, something smells strange. I couldn't figure out what's from till I saw an adorable baby skunk! It's there to have a surgery to remove the stinky-glands. Later, I get to briefly hold a sugar glider. It looks very cute but pretty odd to have as a pet because its claws are very sharp and gripping. Later at the end, I saw a new-born baby hedgehog!! Its spikes are white and its eyes are not opened.

Doing the kennel tech tasks are becoming easier to maintain. Simply making sure all the animals have food and water, taking the dogs outside, picking up poops, sweeping outside and inside, mopping inside, dumping all the trashes into the bin, watering the hanging plants, cleaning the kennels/cages, doing the dishes, sometimes wiping the windows, and doing the laundry. Every now and then there will be some odd jobs around the clinic when I have extra time such as bathing two of the Doctor's dogs. If there's nothing else to do, I can play with the animals such as holding the baby bunny, playing fetch with a dog, holding the macaw bird, etc. Kennel Tech is not an all work and no play job.
